This video demonstrates “Circular bowing and forearm rotation” and “String-Crossing Study” on pages 63-64 of Violinworks Book 2. Circular bowing is a technique that’s used to move the bow rapidly to-and-fro between adjacent strings, and works best for short strokes at around the middle of the bow. For sheet music, piano accompaniments, CD performance tracks, and many more exercises and pieces, order a copy of Violinworks Book 2 here.
